President's Message

1 December 2011

I hope everyone is doing well.

Thanksgiving is gone, although I feel the turkey is still with me, and the Christmas Holidays are quickly approaching. As I stated in my previous e-mail, where has 2011 gone!

All of our members should have received the invitation to our General Membership Meeting/ Christmas Party, now all we need to know is if you are going to attend.

A review of the Party plans:
Thursday, 8 December 2011 at the High Country Home Builders' Association Hall
755 Hwy 105 Bypass, Boone, NC
        1800 Social       1845  Meeting        1915  Dinner       2030  Closing

Bring a covered Dish to serve at least 12 -15. We do not have anyone controlling what might arrive, so it will be a real "Potluck Dinner". We are providing a Turkey and Ham along with all the condiments and paper products, water and soft drinks and ice.   If you care to bring your own Beer or Wine, please do so. The facility has large ovens and coolers so we will be able to keep food warm/ cool till serving.

We are also asking you to bring a gift per member (at least 20.00 or more) to be raffled off. We will sell $20.00 tickets, no limit as to how many you can purchase, to cover some of our expenses. The gift can be anything you care to bring. Some members have hand-made items and other have purchased gift certificates.

Let me or Dave Garvin (davegarvin@earthlink.net)  know if you can or cannot make it. It would help us make sure we are covered on the basics.

We will also have at least 10 ROTC Cadets joining us at this Holiday Celebration, so it would be nice to introduce ourselves and make them feel at home.

We will  bring everyone up to date on what is planned for our High Country Chapter in 2012.

Please RSVP, if you haven't already,  and hope to see all of you next week.

Sincerely,
George Brudzinski
